Nevertheless, the export is mainly on low-tech products, the average profit is very low and now Renminbi (RMB) has appreciated by 6%, making the profits become hardly enough to keep the enterprises survive. Correspondingly, the furniture export enterprises are actively taking measures:

For the last year, RMB has appreciated by 6% and the prices of the raw materials have increased by over 10% on average. Because of such impact, a number of small enterprises collapsed and lots of enterprises have continued to raise the prices of products for more than a year. Nevertheless, in order to remain clients, the price increases of many enterprises cannot completely offset the increases in costs, forcing the enterprises to adopt other measures.
2.Adoption of internal digestion tactics to answer the appreciation of RMB
| 1) |
control the costs, improve the quality of products |
| 2) |
tighten up the administration, raise working efficiency |
| 3) |
some enterprises have already employed RMB for settlement to avoid exchange loss brought about by the appreciation of RMB |
| 4) |
